Welcome!

If you are here, chances are you fall into one of two categories: you’re my family and friends to whom I have talked non-stop about this endeavor, or you are an athlete looking to take the next step with your performance by way of nutrition. If you are family and friends, thank you for being here, this wouldn’t be possible without you. Athletes, no matter how you found me…welcome! I am so happy you are here.

Nutrition with Brooke has been an idea of mine for almost two years. I talked and thought about it all the time, but never took the next step. Fast forward to now, and it has already been a crazy, educational, and exciting ride. My hope is that my business will provide not only the most up-to-date nutritional information, but also help take that information and turn it into realistic steps. Research is great, but it’s useless unless we can integrate those findings into our everyday lives, and that’s where I come in.

My approach to nutrition is extremely balanced. I truly believe that, even at the highest level, there is room for all your favorite foods in the athlete’s diet (if I’m being completely honest, I have a coffee cake cooking in the oven as I write this). Why do I think this? Because foods are powerful. Foods are not only necessary and effective for your physical health, but also play a role in your mental and emotional health. Together, we will explore all of this, and I promise you, we will see results.

Now, this all sounds great (I hope), but who am to tell you what is what? Outside of the educational and experience requirements, I’ve tried to walk the walk. For starters, I’ve been a competitive athlete my entire life, in a variety of sports. From club soccer and high school running, to college basketball and ultra triathlons. I’ve struggled with my weight in the world of sports, I’ve struggled with energy levels, I’ve struggled with digestive issues, and while I haven’t personally struggled from eating disorders, I’ve been exposed to them. I know there are many many challenges when it comes to nutrition in sports and I’m here to help you navigate and problem-solve through them. Secondly, my approach has seen results. Prior to this moment of launching my own business, I’ve worked with various teams and athletes— no matter what their goals were, I can confidently say that we saw results. It might not have worked the first time, but with adjustments and hard work and honesty, we got there. Finally, I know I haven’t met you yet, but I can tell you that I truly care about you and your success.

My dad’s favorite quote to tell me as a kid was “if it is to be, it is up to me.” I’ve taken those simple ten words to heart, and now through this new adventure I would amend that quote and tell you that “if it is to be, it is up to us.” If I don’t have the answer, I’ll get it for you. If the first solution doesn’t work, we’ll find another. I’ll be with you every step of the way.

It’s only day one, and I have already learned so much along the way. I’m excited for the days, weeks, and months to come, and I hope to meet many of you along the way.
